It’s 9am at Vault Artist Studios on a crisp autumnal morning. The former Belfast Met building has been transformed into a Mecca of creativity, and a sense that Belfast is becoming the progressive city we all know it can, and want it to be, is in the air.
We were here to film the five finalists of the Metro Sessions, a music competition in association with Translink and the Oh Yeah Centre. Each of the acts submitted a song that embodied who they were as musicians and shared what they loved about Belfast.
‘We’re a very small city but we punch about our weight in terms of what the city can offer.’
‘There’s just something about home that you just can’t escape. Plus, Tayto crips are awesome.’
Tayto pride aside, the talent and professionalism of the musicians made us all feel inspired and proud to be playing a part in the creative landscape of an evolving Northern Ireland.

We also want to share our congratulations with Gin Palace who walked away with the title of winner, a cash prize, funded recording studio package, airtime and industry mentoring. We are expecting big things from this Belfast bred indie band.
This week we teamed up with the Nerve Centre to create the 2019 Foyle Film Festival Education Programme...
We teamed up with UU's School of Law to create an animation explaining more about representing yourself in court.
