Check it out…

20 Oct

Hey it’s Tuesday already. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun? We’re chugging along nicely with various projects for clients such as PSNI, the Survitec Group, BBC, Balmoral Show, Irish Congress of Trade Unions, Dale Farm, Translink etc, and as promised here’s a smattering of some of them for your viewing pleasure. First up, it’s Dale Farm’s new Annual Report, courtesy of Paul…

Zzzz…

16 Oct

It’s Friday and we’ve had a busy but at the same time not too stressful week. Nice. Various new projects to report on, but you’ll have to wait until next week to see them as I can’t be bothered to go through all that Photoshop nonsense this late in the day.

Content yourself with this for now – the ‘Experiment in Typography’ exhibition at Queen’s now over, we’ve brought the pieces back to the studio where they are now on permanent display. If there’s anyone out there – friends and family, enemies or competitors – who fancies a look, just drop me a quick email and we’ll have you round for a guided tour…

This one’s for my fellow designers out there… Just couldn’t resist adding it. This is what we designers call ‘a f5x!@$£?g awesome brief’… And thats a technical term…

And that, as they say, is it.

It’s about time…

12 Oct

As promised in my last post, here’s a long overdue update of some of the projects currently trundling through the studio. In no particular order, say hello to:

Beggs and Partners promo materials
produced on a shoestring budget with a minimal brief, and we still came up with pure gold(plated taps) – Sorry Ian, terrible joke!

BeggsBanners

Northern Bank Employees’ Charity Group promo materials
Bank staff are working together to make a difference, with some snazzy Mark C derived graphical support:

Northern News magazine
It’s back to the Northern Bank again, with my lovely staff magazine. A labour of love, but worth every minute I spent on it:

Yes, it’s finally finished! With fab camerawork courtesy of our mate Gordon at Revolution Productions and Adam, Ryan and Peedy on the edit and effects it looks pretty amazing. We are currently uploading this to our YouTube channel and once it’s up I’ll make this screengrab an active link:

That’s all from me for now – we’ve lots more to show so check back over the next few days for more graphical goodness. I’ll hand over to Professor Paul Allen, winner of one of the three Commended in Category’s we got at last week’s IDI Awards in Dublin, to sign off:

See y’all later…

So Long Baby…

9 Oct

I’m ashamed to say it’s been a MONTH since the last update – primarily due to a combination of post-Book 6 launch activities and 3 major exhibition stands for the Survitec Group, two in the UK and one in San Diego. Inevitably there is now quite a backlog of work to be posted, but that’s going to have to wait until after the weekend, and for now y’all will have to make do with this meager update courtesy of my iPhone.

So last night we were at the IDI Awards in Dublin. We entered 7 projects, were shortlisted for 3, and got 3 ‘Commendeds’, so all in all did pretty well. Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse, but hey, it was great to take part, and great to be there. Here’s to some great entries in 2010!

Anyway, that’s enough for now – check back on Monday for some juicy visual treats.
