Unleash the Dogs of War…

31 Jul

Whitenoise continues to branch out into broadcast. We’re currently working on VFX for Double Band Films, on a dramatised documentary commission for RTE. Can’t say more than that other than it involves lots of soldiers and guns. Here’s a few secs of early dev work…

It’s not all rock n roll and big boys toys though – lots of other lovely work is passing through the studio at a rate of knots to0, so keep checking back for more in the days to come…

Over and Out.

It’s only Rock & Roll…

…But we like it. After dipping our toe in the water with videos for “Pearly Spencer” and “Oranges” we were back this week with Whitenoise co-conspirator Brian Houston, shooting his new video for “Queen of Hearts” at Belfast’s Crumlin Road Jail. We got some amazing shots and hopefully these here pix will do justice to the atmosphere of the building…

Many thanks to all concerned, including Gordon for excellent camera skills; Mark M for keeping me right on all the shots; Laura for being stunningly beautiful and having a great attitude; Roo, Johnny and Pete for being a great backing band; Pauline for looking after us so well; Stephanie for big smiles and being there; Danny for emergency make-up assistance; Brian for giving us great source material to work with; and not forgetting the Whitenoise crew for covering our backs while we were out of the studio at a particularly busy time.

The race is now on to complete the edit and get an initial run of DVDs pressed for the launch gig, back in the Jail, on September 16th. No pressure… Keep checking back for more on this and other exciting and splendid Whitenoise labours of love.

Peace Out,

Mark C

Are we sitting comfortably?

Then we’ll begin. This is a very short one, but I thought you might like to see what we’re getting up to for the BBC currently.

In addition to working on BBC Sports NI campaigns and the BBC coverage of the Tall Ships visit, we’ve just started on an identity, titles and trails for a new show, “BBC Northern Ireland House of the Year”, More to follow on this and other projects over the coming days…

I think that’s all I have for you for now. Lots of other strange and wonderful things are happening, including some top secret hush hush projects for the BBC and trade shows across Europe, the US and the Far East for our friends at RFD amongst many other projects. As always, huge thanks to the Whitenoise team for consistently producing excellent work. As usual, keep checking back for more…

Over and out.

Guess who’s Back?

solar-system-coming-soon1

Avid viewers of Whitenoise TV and recipients of Book 5 and it’s accompanying DVD will need no introduction to Professor Paul Allen, Whitenoise’s secret weapon in the battle to keep science fresh and relevant to the next generation.

If you haven’t met him yet and observed his laid-back lecturing style (think back to the glorious pre-web days of BBC2’s Open University, early 70s, 3am on a Wednesday morning) then check him out on our YouTube page, here.

So what’s all the fuss about? Well, he’s back! Currently in the studio recording a new film explaining the wonders of our Solar System, he will be making an appearance in Book 6, due to be launched early September in Queen’s University’s Naughton Gallery. Keep checking back for more info as the launch approaches.

It’ll be science-tastic….
