So this is the way it works…

26 Jun

So this is the way it works. On a Friday afternoon aproximately once every couple of weeks I figure I can’t get away with waffling on about beer, parties, gigs, or general mayhem in the studio, and in fact actually need to show some real work.

So then I start shouting at people to get me PDFs of whatever they’re working on that they are particularly proud of and that is safe for public exposure (some of our work – how shall I put this? -  isn’t).

Over the next couple of days I start to accumulate some tasty new projects, which I figure I’ll get round to slicing up for the blog when I get five minutes spare. This usually happens Friday afternoon… I think you get the drift.

So here we go. By now you’ve probably all seen Mark Canavan’s annual opus, the PSNI Chief Constable’s Annual Report, appearing through your letterbox…

Next up (and spookily, by Mark Canavan again) we have the splendid new brochure for Commercial Graphics, printers of distinction…

And here’s the latest edition of Northern News, the fabulously well designed (so it says here) staff mag for Northern Bank, courtesy of little ol’ me…

And finally, a project that seems to be growing in size and scope on a daily basis: a complete brand audit / refresh for the Survitec Group, and its 16 (yes, that’s sixteen) subsidiary companies – and a week doesn’t seem to pass without them buying up another competitor and adding them to the collection.Survitec Group are the global leader in land, sea and air escape and survival equipment. It’s all very exciting…

And apart from all this? the usual: SEUPB, NIPB, InvestNI, Northern Bank, BBC, E-Synergy, Galen Pharmaceutical, Lloyds TSB Foundation, NIO, NICFC, NI Prisoner Ombudsman (so many acronyms!) etc etc etc… Help!

Right – It’s Friday, it’s 5.30, I’m outta here.

That Friday Feelin…

19 Jun

fridaybeer1

It’s Friday at 5, and I have nabbed the last beer in the fridge. It tastes delicious in that special Friday beer way…

It’s been that type of week – massive amounts of work, lovely new clients on board including Galen Pharmaceuticals, won against stiff competition against three UK pharma branding consultancies and two other local agencies. Well done to Lynsay, Paul, Ingrid, Mark Canavan and Alix, and everyone else who worked so hard on a brilliant (even though I say so myself) pitch.

On other news, E-Synergy, Invest NI, Northern Bank, the NIO and the BBC have been keeping us very busy, and we’re just about to start on our next bit of on-air branding for the lovely folks at Broadcasting House.

So, in the words of Alix, it’s ALL GOOD…

Peedy and Ryan have been dabbling in the medium of motion again, so I’ll sign off with a strong recommendation to visit our YouTube channel and check out all the latest graphical goodness.

I am, Officially, Outta Here.

Business as usual…

9 Jun

Well it’s been a busy last few weeks. We pitched for (against some stiff local competition) and won the launch of the Invest NI/E-Synergy business incubator fund, have been flat out on some exciting new BBC work, and busy on various Invest NI projects amongst many others – examples of which will be appearing on this very blog over the coming weeks.

Want to see some of the fruits of our recent labours? Here’s a few fine specimens coming off the Whitenoise production line over the last few days. First up, we have Lynsay’s InvestIn magazine for Invest NI…

And, after a prolonged absence due to us kindly lending it out to Pure Fitness Studios, the Whitenoise taxi makes it’s return to the streets of Belfast!

I think that’s quite enough for now, don’t you?

Just one word…

5 Jun

Friday. That’s all I’m saying. Couldn’t have come round soon enough.

Take a look at the production board. I don’t mean to boast, but every one of those squiggly purple lines is a separate job. I want to cry and run home to my mammy!

I know it’s Friday and I should be putting some more tasty Whitenoise design work up, but I’m just too tired and boggle-eyed from staring at the screen too much. Time for home, curry and a hot date with the missus on the sofa – now that’s what Friday means to me…
