OOPS – here’s one we forgot to mention…

30 Oct

Truth be told I’m in two minds about putting this up, as it’s one of our totally top-secret projects: We are currently working with close friend, collaborator and local musician of some note Colin Reid on a revolutionary new project, combining graphics, animation, music and classic storytelling to deliver a shocking story, ‘Dear Spider’, a modern twist on the classic Hansel and Gretel fairy tale: be afraid – be very afraid…

Here for the very first time, let me introduce you to some of the characters who, with a bit of luck and loads of hard work, are destined to become very well known over the next few months…

As always, keep checking back for more…

All not very quiet on the western front…

So it’s been a wee while since the last post, but various projects large and small continue to trundle their way through the Whitenoise ideas factory. First up, we have some new exhibition materials for various RFD products:

Followed by some more PR for our favourite celeb chef, the lovely Noel McMeel:

Old friends of Whitenoise, the Allstate Corporation are celebrating their 10th anniversary in Northern Ireland with various promotional materials including a forthcoming commemorative book, and here, limited-edition prints designed by local artists:

Next up we have the promotional campaign for Orangefield Presbyterian Church’s lovely new building:

And finally, say hello to the Autumn edition of Expresslines magazine:

And finally: No – it’s not a drugs bust, here’s the evidence of our recent tasting session where we deliberated on going for good old milk chocolate or something a bit more exotic for our client Christmas prezzies…

And the answer? You’ll just have to wait and see… That’s all for now, but keep checking back as there’s quite a few interesting projects brewing…

Over and out.

Business as usual…

15 Oct

So after all the IDI Award excitement it’s back to business as usual. Among various projects trundling through the studio at the moment we have the first official outing for the Invest NI Innovation and Export Awards 2009, with some beautiful Whitenoise brand love.

This is going to be a big event so expect to see more here over the coming weeks and months before the Awards ceremony, 18 February 2009. Check out the website at www.innovationandexportawards.com

Thank God it’s Friday… And that’s all I can say.

Woohoo!!!

Last night was a great success for Whitenoise at the IDI Awards. There were 257 entries across 18 categories, and with only us and one other Northern Irish studio shortlisted we were delighted to find that Paul’s ABC book for NICIE (the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education) was commended in category and Whitenoise Book 5 overall winner. The icing on the cake was to learn that Book 5 was also shortlisted for the prestigious best of year award.

Lynsay, Paul, Peedy and Rory were there to fly the flag for Whitenoise but obviously the success of Book 5 was truly a team effort, so well done to us all. Needless to say, as we don’t get out very much we were all quite a bit excited:

Especially Rory, as you can see here:

Do you think he’s shouting or yawning? Answers on a postcard to the usual address. Anyway, that’s quite enough excitement for now.
