Mission Accomplished

29 Sep

Good friends and clients of Whitenoise, RFD Beaufort are back from a successful showing of their new products at the SMM maritime trade expo in Hamburg. Armed with literature, branding, motion graphics, video and an amazing 40sq.m stand designed with the usual Whitenoise care and attention to detail, it’s fair to say the client is a happy one. We are still awaiting live pics of the event, but see below for an initial concept visual of the stand itself.

The overall design theme extended to literature:

And the inevitable motion graphics:

There’ll be more to come from RFD over the coming weeks, so keep track on progress right here.

Small but beautifully formed…

23 Sep

It’s been a while since my last post, and there’s quite a few new projects trundling through the studio that will make an appearance here in the next few days, but for now, here’s a small but beautifully formed identity project for the Erne Barge Company that deserves to see the light of day:

So that’s it for now – as always, keep checking back for more.

It’s Friday

12 Sep

Hey Hey it’s Friday! Check back on Monday for more top secret work from Whitenoise –  the Ideas Factory TM, but for now, have a look at the title sequence we’ve just finished for a forthcoming BBC NI documentary…

And here’s the new identity for Thompson Aerospace…

Followed by some new work for paper merchants Donald Murray helping them celebrate 21 years in Northern Ireland…

Next up, say hello to the new identity for DSB Schlauchboot GMBH, sister company of RFD Beaufort, Northern Ireland’s world-leading maritime survival equipment manufacturer. There’ll be a lot more like this to follow (check back next week) as we’re currently working on web and print for both companies and parent, the Survitech Group – all very exciting stuff…

And finally, here’s our latest for friends and neighbours, the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children:

And that’s your lot for now – it is a Friday, after all…

Our own Big Bang…

10 Sep

With all the media kerfuffle today over the big switch-on at the Hadron Collider in CERN, we at Whitenoise, ever keen to push the boundaries of scientific improbability, decided to conduct our own highly accurate experiment to determine the potential dangers of initiating a big bang in a confined space.

We can report that at approximately 12 noon today Professor Peedy initiated the sequence and successfully collided a drawing pin with a large green party balloon. The experiment was witnessed by various members of staff and recorded by professor Ryan for later study.

As expected, no serious or unforeseen side-effects occurred, although Professor Ingrid did knock her cup of coffee over her keyboard.

God’s eye view…

10 Sep

So I was just sat waiting for our regular Friday night Indian take away to arrive, checking out our blog on my lovely new iPhone like a technozoid.

Suddenly a thought occurred to me as I was looking at all our smashing new work on this tiny screen: why does everything look great when it’s small? I think this every time I look at the latest edition of a design journal – all those teeny weeny screengrabs of the latest website, tv ad or press campaign… So this made me think, maybe that’s what God thinks when he looks down at this scruffy little ball we call home. It all looks so pretty from a distance.

All this cod philosophy and not even had my first glass of red yet. Anyway, methinks this iPhone thing is going to catch on in a big way, and all the old-school monolithic ad agencies may end up getting caught on the hop. Roll on the revolution!
